Some of the aftermath of Saturday’s events. Smashing a window… that’ll teach ‘em.

Looks more heroic than it actually was. He’s taunting the police, not standing up to them. Asshole.

This had nothing to do with the protests. Just a cool shot.

I think this was one of my most powerful photos from the weekend. The emotion in this woman’s face still gets to me. If it weren’t for those damn mergers…

I find this photo very inspiring. Despite a handicap, this guy was out showing his support with as much enthusiasm as the rest of the protesters.

This shot reminds me of some of the photojournalism shots from the war protests in the 60’s, especially given the context. A very well spoken, articulate man was standing in front of a wall of police officers saying that he wasn’t being brave, he had a wife and kid at home but believed in the cause of some of the protesters enough to come show his support. He laid this flower down in front of the police as a metaphorical ‘line’, urging the officers to put down their guns, cross the line and accept that they didn’t need to be Harper’s puppets.

I love the expression in his face. I just picture him thinking: “What the F^@# are you looking at, hippie?”

This shot really sums up the mood from the weekend. It was very tense in a lot of places and the police presence was unbelievable.

An interesting forecast for the future of our country. A little bleak for my taste.

Objects in pictures should so be arranged as by their very position to tell their own story.
